You see, I was wearing the heels so I could look professional while I was interviewing the athletic director who makes me seem more legit so that I can be impressive and do well at my real people job!
For the last 4 weeks (that's counting from when I faxed in my contract) I have been a 'freelance contributor to ESPN'!
I'm working on women's content for the RISE division which is geared at young female competitors. 'How', you may ask, 'does a theater major from LA get a job writing for ESPN.com based in NY?'... pure awesomeness, that's how. And a blessed combination of work experience, personal experience, and friends in ESPN high places :) Basically, it's a very long story.
Although it is a MAJOR side effect of adulthood- I didn't want to post it here until the the website confirmed it was for reals and not the deluded longings of a college grad.

SEE! very for reals! read on here.
There are 3 other pieces that I've submitted that will hopefully be on the site in weeks to come and a few more in the works. This may literally be as far as my writing career (well, this one and the blog) but how fun even if that's all! And fortunately it's the right amount to keep me needing another source of income...this way I can keep juggling more things than is actual prudent!
